   John passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 5, 2009, at the age of 48 years. He was born on February 22, 1960 in Saginaw to the late Charles and Jeanette (Forgash) Berkobien, Sr. John was employed as a journeyman carpenter through the Carpenters Local #706, working for J.R. Heineman & Sons, Inc. and several other construction companies. He loved his dogs, fishing and the outdoors.
  Surviving are his three brothers, Charles Berkobien, Jr., Bay City; Michael Berkobien and his fiancee’ Cristy Roggmann, and her children, Mandy (Michael) Budzinski and Tyler (Leah) Roggmann, and her grandsons, Brenden and Michael John Jr., Saginaw; Randal (Gail) Berkobien, Spring Lake; two nieces and two nephews, Rebecca, Austin, Danielle and Cody; also several aunts, uncles and cousins. John was predeceased by his parents and a niece, Bri Anne Berkobien.
  John’s memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. Pastor Cameron Steele will officiate. Private burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
