Mr. Joseph R. Petee

Saginaw, Michigan

November 4, 1931 - June 5, 2009

  Passed away Friday, June 5, 2009, at Covenant Medical Center. Age 77 years. Joseph Russell Petee was born November 4, 1931, in Oakland County to the late Jess and Elizabeth (Davis) Petee. He married Donna Mae Murray on May 12, 1956, in Saginaw. She survives him. Prior to his retirement Joseph was employed at Wickes Boiler for 15 years. He was a member of the Buena Vista Lions Club, working with the Soapbox Derby, and with REACT CB radio club. Surviving besides his wife, Donna, is his step-son, Bill (Barb) Patrick, Beaverton; grandchildren, Joelle & Joe Harper, Fostoria, MI; Jennifer Patrick, Vassar; Bill (Christina) Spitz, Saginaw; one great-granddaughter, Jamie Harper; one sister and one brother, Lucille Petee, Saginaw; Gary Petee, of Louisiana; and his other “granddaughter” Amanda Sayers. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters, Raymond, Wallace and Robert Petee, and Geneveve Pearlburg and Dorothy Naukervis.
  Funeral and committal services will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Kurt Weber will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be given to the Buena Vista Lions Club.
