Evelyn L. Fleischmann

  Passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Covenant – Harrison. Age 89 years. Evelyn was born on July 22, 1920, in Saginaw Co., to the late Frank and Amelia (Frederick) Miller. She was married to Carl H. Fleischmann on December 19, 1945, in Saginaw, where he predeceased her on February 28, 2001. Evelyn worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII at the Eaton Gun Plant, then Fannie Farmer’s until its closing. She loved spending time with family and gardening. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Randy and Claudia Miller, Sandi Miller, JeanAnn and Rev. Bill Burns, Virginia Canavau, Sandy Teixeria, Judy Weighman, many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law, Alice Rogner. She was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Fred Miller.
  Memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. William H. Burns will officiate. Private inurnment will take place later in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be given to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
