Mrs. Janice K. Thompson

April 17, 1943 - October 27, 2009

  Passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Saint Mary’s of Michigan. Age 66 years. Janice was born on April 17, 1943, in Saginaw, to the late Paul and Lavona (Curtis) Osborn. She was married to Russell H. Thompson on December 7, 1968. He survives her. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as the assistant night manager at Rick’s Grocery Store in Hemlock for several years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hemlock. Surviving besides her husband, Russ, are her nieces and nephews, Judy and Kevin Techlin; Tom and Debbie Kline; David Kline; Carol and Ken Drake; in-law’s, Thomas Thompson; Grace and Walter Kline; also many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Jim and Dixie LaPan. Janice was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers.
  Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2009, at Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., then on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
