Mr. Kenneth E. Stafford
Saginaw, Michigan
June 19, 1915 - November 11, 2009
Passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. Age 94 years. Ken was born on June 19, 1915, in Saginaw to the late Ernest and Hattie (Weston) Stafford. He married Jean M. Fleissner on May 20, 1944, in Saginaw. She survives him. Prior to his retirement, Ken had owned and operated Ken Stafford Collision for over 35 years. Ken had served in the US Army during WWII along with his four brothers. Surviving besides his wife, Jean, are five children and their spouses, Emmajean (Guy) Baker, Ronald (Connie) Stafford, Sandra O’Keefe, Larry (Linda) Stafford, Joyce (Gene) Trombley; 12 grandchildren, Lisa Stafford, John O’Keefe, Jr., Katheleen Kiraly, Mary Boza, Rhonda Monin, Aaron Trombley, Lindsay Stafford, Alicia McMackin, Amber Trombley, Lani Stafford, Adrianne Trombley, and Lorraine Stafford; two step-grandchildren, Tammy and Jenna; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley McKormick, Kayla O’Keefe, Caitlin O’Keefe, Genevieve Kiraly, Hanna Kiraly, Patrick Boza, Ava McMackin, Brian Boza, and Nathan McMackin; two brothers, Darwin and Calvin Stafford; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Thelma Colby, Shirley Wylie, Loren and Merritt Stafford.
Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., where military honor guard will be conducted under the auspices of the Michigan Army National Guard. Private burial will be held later in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., then on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
