In Loving Memory Of Harold C. WakemanDecember 25, 1933 - March 17, 2008 "He shared his birthday with Jesus and now he shares His death at Easter time." -- Funeral Eulogy Thank you for your interest in donating to the Valley Lutheran High School Foundation for The Harold C. Wakeman Memorial Scholarship Fund. Valley Lutheran High School was a very important part of Harold's life. The school began in 1977, following an earlier vote of an association of Lutheran congregations in the Saginaw and Bay City region enabling K-8 students to continue their Christian education. The school has provided a positive impact on the area, to the member congregations, and for Christian education as a whole. Harold saw the immediate benefits the school would bring and supported it in many ways from the very beginning. Valley Lutheran is a very well respected high school with the vast majority of the students going on to college and contributing well to society. These qualities are taught through their preparation in a Christ-centered and caring environment by dedicated teachers. It is because of the quality education these students receive we have developed this endowment in Harold's name. In order to provide a quality endowment to match the level of education these kids receive, on-going contributions to the fund are necessary to help meet the financial requirements.
